Many state, local and utility energy efficiency programs use the services of BPI certified professionals, because they know they will get quality work with a good return on investment. In fact, the Home Performance with ENERGY STAR® program from the Department of Energy (DOE) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) cites BPI or equivalent for individual certification.

BPI supports the development of a highly professional building performance industry through individual and organizational credentialing and a rigorous quality assurance program.
IES Green is certified as a RESNET (Residential Energy Services Network) Home Energy Auditor and rater, having undergone extensive training and satisfied its national standards for energy auditor certification. IES Green is fully trained to communicate where energy loss is occurring in your home, and which improvements will increase your comfort and save you money on your energy bills. A RESNET Home Energy Auditor also knows the order that work must be completed to achieve the desired results, as well as the potential hazards and safety precautions.
IES Green is also certified RESNET EnergySmart Contractor. The EnergySmart designation for contractors and builders was created in the interest of homeowner protection and safety. The EnergySmart designation sets a national standard of competence for energy efficient installations, retrofits and building projects, and includes training on industry best practices and related safety issues.
